Rotary Mix I - Iain Perry
Iain is an artist and screenprinter creating deeply layered, colour saturated, slow motion screen prints.
The image generation is a slow process of experimentation, where Iain uses a mix of digital and traditional techniques to create his artworks. They often feature realistic portraits, abstract shapes, and dynamic compositions.
Iain's work borrows language from other art forms, film and photography, poetry, electronic music and rave culture. Layers of fragmented iconography and geometry coalesce, like motes of dust trapped in a beam of light teasing us with a cheeky glimpse of a much bigger gestalt.
The resulting collection is a series of paeans to pigment, a psychedelic hallelujah to the handmade and handprinted, colour and tone poems that are a tiny bit joyful.
Rotary Mix I
Unique Screenprint onto Japanese plywood. Iain’s artful use of lines on each plate creates the optical illusion of movement in these works. Contrasting colours work together to trick the eye.
Framed in a simple black tray frame.
Framed size is 41 cm x 41 cm
Alternative framing presentations are available, please get in touch to discuss the options.
