Light the Way - Iain Perry
Iain is an artist and screenprinter creating deeply layered, colour saturated, slow motion screen prints The image generation is a slow process of experimentation, where Iain uses a mix of digital and traditional techniques to create his artworks. They often feature realistic portraits, abstract shapes, and dynamic compositions.
Iain's work borrows language from other art forms, film and photography, poetry, electronic music and rave culture. Layers of fragmented iconography and geometry coalesce, like motes of dust trapped in a beam of light teasing us with a cheeky glimpse of a much bigger gestalt.
The resulting collection is a series of paeans to pigment, a psychedelic hallelujah to the handmade and handprinted, colour and tone poems that are a tiny bit joyful.
This artwork is part of the ‘Mirrorballs & Mixtapes’ series, which captures the interplay of mood and music through color, pattern, and repetition. Inspired by the rhythms and melodies of music, each element in the artwork contributes to a harmonious visual experience that reflects the essence of the songs that inspire it.
