IAIN PERRY – EXHIBITION FROM THURSDAY 27TH OCTOBER TILL THURSDAY 10TH NOVEMBER

Since opening the gallery at the end of May, Iain Perry has been a firm favourite amongst clients old and new, with his deeply layered, colour saturated slow motion screen prints.

An exhibition of stunning, brand-new one-off works is now on at the gallery accompanied by a fantastic selection of other original one-off pieces and signed limited edition prints, both framed and in our packed print racks.

This body of original silkscreens has been slowly evolving over the past 18 months through improvisation and the stencils themselves, suggesting new relationships between shapes and colours.

For Iain, they channel the kinetic energy of free travel through abstract space conjured up from half remembered video games and fragmenting technology, soundtracked by fluorescent, widescreen psychedelia. With titles like ‘Fast Travel’, ‘Just What Is It That You Want To Do?’ and ‘Scalextric Dialectic’ you can’t help but be transported back to the time of racing mini cars in circles whilst Primal Scream blasts loudly on your Walkman. The nostalgia!
