ENTER PURE EVIL
We are ecstatic to share some very exciting news at Seventh Circle Gallery. We are unveiling an exclusive collection featuring the enigmatic and profound works of Pure Evil, the artistic alter ego of Charles Uzzell-Edwards.
Pure Evil, is a contemporary street artist whose distinctive style has captivated audiences globally. Born in 1968 in South Wales, he was creative from a young age. His artistic journey was profoundly shaped by the West Coast graffiti movement during his time in California in the 1990s, where he worked in fashion design for a streetwear brand. The character art in San Francisco, in particular, inspired him and influenced his way of thinking— “there’s poetry in the streets”.
Doyen of the UK graffiti and street art scene, internationally-exhibited and globally-collected Pure Evil can be found at his resident gallery in London’s art Mecca of Shoreditch. His instantly recognisable ‘Nightmare Series’ comprises iconic portraiture, with a signature single heavy teardrop, that delves into the complex interplay of fame and the darker side of celebrity culture.
Seventh Circle is currently the only gallery in the West Midlands displaying and selling Pure Evil's work. Our debut collection is made up of five unique Hand Finished Limited edition screen prints exclusive to our gallery, taken from his Nightmare Series.
